Introducing: Borders

For our new Borders Collection, we’ve gone through the Bert & May archives, exploring patterns and motifs from our earliest and most popular products to create a series of designs that celebrate and complement some of our most iconic tiles.
Tile borders have long been a staple in interior design, providing a visually striking way to define spaces and add character, and our new Borders collection takes this concept to new heights, offering a range of meticulously crafted tiles that can be used to create stunning borders within any living space.
From geometric shapes to delicate details, each tile tells the story of the craftsmanship and design we’re known for and can be added as trim to a plain surface or used to frame other patterned tiles.
Our designers didn’t just delve into our archives for these tiles, however. While some are indeed informed by true Bert & May classics, three of the designs - the B, M and & tiles - are inspired by our name. With 2023 marking ten years of Bert & May, we wanted to add a celebratory edge to the collection - using the familiar shapes of our initials in these tiles felt like a great way to do so.

“Our Borders cement tiles are incredibly versatile and can be added as a pattern detail to a plain floor, or to frame patterned tiles,” says Tom Bowman, concept designer.
“Being true to the geometry of our most iconic designs, Borders has shapes nodding to familiar designs in our collection such as Alapardo, Duchamp and Asquith.”
Another of the trademark features of this collection is its versatility. These tiles are not limited to a specific room or style, making them the perfect choice for a variety of spaces. Whether you're looking to enhance the elegance of a bathroom, create a focal point in the kitchen, design a striking skirting board or add a touch of luxury to a living room, the Borders collection provides endless possibilities.
