White Tiles

White tiles bring a fresh and timeless openness to kitchens, bathrooms and living spaces. Whether it is a chalky off-white encaustic floor tile or a glossy white glazed wall tile, our white collection brightens up a space. You can pair plain white tiles with black for a classic monochrome look or inject colour and pattern for a beautifully bold contrast.

Introducing the white tile collection

A staple neutral throughout interior design, handmade white tiles are candidly timeless. The tone is striking yet understated, making it easy to provide a focal point in a room with neutral décor or accent colours. This collection compromises encaustic tiles in white with floor tile and wall tile options. And, there are a variety of materials and finishes. These include beautiful glazed, marble, handcrafted terracotta, cement, and porcelain white tiles.

Suitability?

Thanks to their flexible nature, white tiles work almost anywhere in the house but are
particularly popular as bathroom tiles and kitchen tiles,

Cement tiles, in particular, are durable and slip-resistant – perfect for floors in high-traffic areas. They are also heat resistant making them suitable for underfloor heating and for use on fire surrounds. Make sure you read the individual suitability information featured on each product page.

Our white glazed tiles are suitable for walls and splashbacks. They’re an authentic choice for wetrooms and bathrooms as they don’t need sealing to make them water resistant. But we don’t recommend them for use on floors due to their intricate
nature.

Our white terrazzo tiles are suitable for walls and floors too, as are our marble tiles.

Feel inspired by our white kitchen and bathroom tiling ideas

Whether you're trying to achieve simplicity, modernity,
minimalism, or a scandi look - calming white tiles can help you bring the look together. White terrazzo, which features different tones of white, contrasted with flecks of black for a touch of drama is brilliant on floors. It also makes for a very striking centrepiece when used to clad a kitchen island.

Bathroom-wise, our white marble tiles are a classic choice. They’re minimal and simple, with a little light veining and a soft, matt-polished look – they keep the space light and bright while adding a real touch of luxury.
Keep the look pared back and combine with natural worn woods and aged brassware, then add a contemporary twist with a freestanding modern bath.

Another stunning design is our glazed metro tiles in white. The rich, glossy glaze provides a ripple effect that draws the eye and adds depth to walls and splashbacks. Additionally, its long, elegant dimensions lend themselves perfectly to either a classic herringbone pattern or a stacked arrangement.

How to pair white tiles

Plain white tiles are incredibly versatile, easily paired with a variety of shades and patterns. Lay them with black tiles and other rich, deep hues such as navy blue and forest green
for elegant contrast.

Another approach is to pair white tiles against soft, neutral tiles with muted earth tones. This creates a soothing and serene atmosphere that is perfect for spaces of relaxation.

Adding a patterned tile or a mosaic can also add a touch of artistic flair. For example,
using a black-and-white geometric patterned tile as an accent against modern white
subway tiles can add visual interest to a room. Overall, the key is to explore different hues and patterns to find the right balance of contrast and harmony.

The final element for designing your space is the shape of your tile. There are square white tiles, herringbone, hexagon and rectangle. Each with unique character and the ability to lay in different formats. Read more – Tile laying patterns.
