Product Description

These tiles are held in stock in our Yorkshire warehouse and are available for next day delivery.

These tiles are made using traditional methods in Morocco. The terracotta is stamped by a brass mould while still wet then cut by hand. The raw terracotta is then transported by a hand-pulled cart and then twice baked in large terracotta ovens. The glaze is painted onto the terracotta then the tile is left to dry. While the finish on each tile is similar there are subtle differences to each tile, making your order completely unique to you. We have a lot of 6sqm available of these tiles, perfect if you need speedy delivery.

IMPORTANT INFO:
Our zellige and bejmat tiles are hand made in Fez using traditional, centuries old and artisanal methods. Each tile is individual and may not exactly match the colour and surface texture of the sample tile you receive. Fossilised shell pieces in the clay found around Fez cause pitting in the surface, chips and hairline cracks. This is totally normal and gives the rustic and authentic look we love. Please have a look at our lifestyle images to see examples of this. If you do not wish to use these types of tile in your project, we recommend ordering 25% extra to cover any discards you wish to make.
